More than being a religious leader, Soegija faces the tremendous hardship of being a peace-maker whom his people look to -- in order to establish order among a society torn by the Dutch invasion, the Japanese regime, and the repeated efforts by the Dutch to retake Indonesia from 1940 to 1949.
