March 2013: Joe's are back when 'The Host' arrived

G.I. Joe: Retaliation

In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra, they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

Jack the Giant Slayer

A drama that takes an adult look at the Jack and the Beanstalk legend. When a princess is kidnapped, the long-standing peace between men and giants is threatened. A young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giants' kingdom in hopes of rescuing her.

Stoker

After India's father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie, who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother. Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.

Oz the Great and Powerful

When small-time magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) pulls one flimflam too many, he finds himself hurled into the fantastical Land of Oz where he must somehow transform himself into the great and powerful wizard—and just maybe into a better man as well.

Olympus Has Fallen

When the White House (Secret Service Code: "Olympus") is captured by a terrorist mastermind and the President is kidnapped, disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped within the building. As our national security team scrambles to respond, they are forced to rely on Banning¹s inside knowledge to help retake the White House, save the President and avert an even bigger disaster.

The Croods

A prehistoric comedy that centers on the caveman Crug, who cautiously leads his family beyond his comfort zone after an earthquake destroys their home. While attempting to navigate the dangerous and unfamiliar world, Crug butts heads with a nomad, who charms Crug’s clan — especially his eldest daughter — with his (relatively) modern-minded ways.

Trance

A fine art auctioneer mixed up with a gang joins forces with a hypnotherapist to recover a lost painting. As boundaries between desire, reality and hypnotic suggestion begin to blur the stakes rise faster than anyone could have anticipated.

The Host

The Host is a story about the survival of love and the human spirit in a time of war. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact. Most of humanity has succumbed. When Melanie (Saoirse Ronan), one of the few remaining “wild” humans, is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading “soul” who has been given Melanie’s body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn’t expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind. When outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off on a dangerous and uncertain search for the man they both love.

The Place Beyond the Pines

Luke (Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling) is in constant motion, a high-wire motorcycle stunt performer who travels from town to town with the carnival. Passing through Schenectady in upstate New York, he tries to reconnect with a former lover, Romina (Eva Mendes), only to learn that she has in his absence given birth to their son Jason. Luke resolves to forsake life on the road and to provide for his newfound family, taking a job as car mechanic with Robin (Ben Mendelsohn). Robin soon discovers Luke’s special talents, and proposes to partner with him in a string of spectacular bank robberies. But it is only a matter of time before Luke will run up against the law – which comes in the form of Avery Cross (Bradley Cooper).

Review: Argo ~ Real Tense Movie Ever!

Genre: Drama, History, Thriller
Directed by: Ben Affleck
Starring: Ben Affleck, Alan Arkin, John Goodman, Bryan Cranston, Scott McNairy, Kyle Chandler
Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures
Running time: 120 Minutes
Rating: R for language and some violent images

Synopsis

Congratulations! Recommended for all of you, people!

Review: MAMA ~ A Mother's Love is Forever. I Agree!

Genre: Horror, Mystery
Directed by: Andrés Muschietti
Executive Producer: Guillermo Del Toro
Starring: Jessica Chastain, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Megan Charpentier, Isabelle Nélisse, Daniel Kash
Studio: Universal Pictures
Running Time: 100 Minutes
Rating: PG-13 for violence and terror, some disturbing images and thematic elements.

Synopsis

Review

Film-film Horor hampir selalu tayang setiap awal tahun.

Review: Silver Linings Playbook ~ Incredible Charisma from Brad & J-Law! A Must See for Everyone

Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
Directed by: David O. Russell
Starring: Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, Chris Tucker, Julia Stiles, Jacki Weaver
Studio: The Weinstein Company
Running Time: 122 Minutes
Rating: R for language and some sexual content/nudity

Synopsis

You rock guys! Phenomenal! I will definelty see it again and again!

Memorable Quotes from My Favourite Scene:
Pat: The only way to beat my crazy was by doing something even crazier. Thank you. I love you. I knew it from the moment I saw you. I'm sorry it took me so long to catch up.
