Top 70 Movies to Watch in 2012 (Part 7)

40. Wrath Of The Titans

A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Worthington) --the demigod son of Zeus (Neeson)--is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius. Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades (Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston). The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramirez), switch loyalties and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon's demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

39. Mirror Mirror

The first of two live-action Snow White movies set for release next year is getting a slightly ironic title: "Mirror Mirror."

That's the name Relativity Media has picked for its comedy-action adventure starring Julia Roberts as the Evil Queen, Armie Hammer as the prince and Lily Collins as Snow White. The movie is set for release March 16.

Less than three months later, on June 1, Comcast Corp.'s Universal Pictures is set to release its action flick starring Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in the title roles of "Snow White and the Huntsman." In Universal's version, Charlize Theron is the Evil Queen.

Although both movies make use of the fairy tale made famous by the Brothers Grimm, the studios are saying they're different enough and spaced far enough apart to both succeed.

Hollywood usually resolves fights over titles through the Motion Picture Association of America's Title Registration Bureau, a voluntary system shared by major studios for registering movie titles and handling objections.

Universal had set "Snow White" in its title much earlier and Relativity didn't succeed in its bid to also use the heroine's name in the title of its movie.

38. American Reunion

Universal Pictures has slated an April 6, 2012 release date for the comedy sequel American Reunion. As of now, American Reunion is the only movie that lays claim to that release date.

The plot will feature the main cast of the 1999 comedy hit American Reunion heading back to Great Falls, Michigan for their high school reunion. Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott, Eugene Levy, Alyson Hannigan, and Chris Klein are confirmed to return at this time. Last month we reported that original cast members Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, Thomas Ian Nicholas, and Jennifer Coolidge are also in talks to return for American Reunion.

37. Resident Evil: Retribution

Like the zombies that star in it, the Resident Evil movie franchise will not die. Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth entry in the long-running movie series, will begin filming this October for a release in 2012.

While the films have largely splintered from the narrative of the games, the latest film, Afterlife, made some nods to the game series, featuring characters like Wesker and Jill Valentine. The next movie, also directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, will continue that trend.

According to Bloody Disgusting, Milla Jovovich will return as Alice, the headlining star of the films so far. In addition, Jill Valentine, Barry Burton and Leon S. Kennedy will all be making appearances in the upcoming film. According to the report, the movie will take Alice from Toronto to Japan.

Sony's Screen Gems studio is aiming for a release on September 14, 2012--just in time for next year's Halloween rush.

Leafie, A Hen into the Wild ~ "Sacrifice is the biggest love on earth"

Synopsis

Film animasi dengan dongeng fabel yang memiliki karakter lucu, selalu mengundang minat banyak orang. Seperti, animasi-animasi garapan Pixar maupun Disney di awal 90'an.

Begitu juga dengan animasi buatan Korea Selatan berjudul Leafie, A Hen into the Wild.

Leafie. A Hen into the Wild sendiri karater suaranya diisi oleh sederet aktor kenamaan Korea Selatan seperti, Choi Min-Sik, Moon So-ri dan Yoo Seung-ho.

Review

Film animasi kedua yang berhasil membuat gua meneteskan air mata (no lebay) setelah film animasi Ghibli Studio tahun 2001, Spirited Away.

Leafie, A Hen into the Wild adalah sebuah film keluarga yang memberikan banyak pesan bagi kita semua. Jadi jangan ragu2 untuk menontonnya. Langsung cari filmnya dan tontonlah bersama keluarga dan teman-teman kalian semua.

'When Love and Sacrifice can unite any differences, we don't have to drop any more tears" ~ Sebuah pesan singkat yang bisa gua tarik dari film ini :)

I hope and maybe you will absolutely enjoy this movie 'til end :D

It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. Top 70 Movies to Watch in 2012 (Part 4)

55. Jack the Giant Killer

Jack the Giant Killer, from X-Men director Bryan Singer, is the latest in a string of classic fairy tales darkly adapted for the screen. The problem with these is that they try so hard to avoid the kiss of box office death that is the for-kids-and-adults genre, that they end up being a silly, self-conscious incarnation of the anti-family flick and up looking like a Twilight afterthought, aesthetically anyway. And thus we have Jack, a retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk featuring Nicholas Hoult, the kid from the British Skins.
Joining Little Nicky is the ever-likable Stanley Tucci, Eleanor Tomlinson, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy, and introducing Moulin Rouge's very own, Ewan McGregor. The cast isn't the problem, assuming there even is one, it's the terrible CGI graphics on the giant. It's the cheesy Bedrock font they flash at the end. It's the 80's guitar riffs that punctuates the introductions of each title card. Jack almost seems like some strange breed of tongue-and-cheek fantasy comedy -the Comtasy if you will- and we're not sure if we should get super stoned first to enjoy the inevitable giggle-fest that will ensure, or invite the gang over to play Magic the Gathering after the movie. I guess with the Comtasy, the answer is both.

54. Neighborhood Watch

"Neighborhood Watch" is a sci-fi comedy about a suburban "neighborhood watch" group that serves as a front for dads to get some male-bonding time away from their families.
A group of friends (Stiller, Vaughn, Hill, and Ayoade) form a neighborhood watch group for their suburb to allow them time to bond and escape from their families. However, when the group discovers a plot that threatens the entire world, they are forced to confront it head on.

To do so, he must discover the story of the Lorax (Danny DeVito), a grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.

52. Contraband

Chris Farraday abandoned his life of crime long ago, but after his brother-in-law, Andy, botches a drug deal for his ruthless boss, Tim Briggs, Chris is forced back into doing what he does best -- running contraband -- to settle Andy's debt. Things quickly fall apart and with only hours to reach the cash, Chris must use his rusty skills to successfully navigate a treacherous criminal network of brutal drug lords, cops, and hit men before his wife, Kate, and sons become their target.

51. Haywire

This dynamic action-thriller directed by Steven Soderbergh boasts a talented cast that includes Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Antonio Banderas, Bill Paxton, Michael Douglas, Michael Angarano; and introduces MMA superstar Gina Carano as Mallory Kane, in a demanding lead role that has her performing her own high-adrenaline stunts. Mallory Kane is a highly trained operative who works for a government security contractor in the dirtiest, most dangerous corners of the world. After successfully freeing a Chinese journalist held hostage, she is double crossed and left for dead by someone close to her in her own agency. Suddenly the target of skilled assassins who know her every move, Mallory must find the truth in order to stay alive.
